Ivory Meadows gives me a big, clean room and lets the lighting create the atmosphere. Ceremony out back, cocktails on the patio, then everyone comes through the front doors and moves right into the first dance.
The day has a natural rhythm

The ceremony is usually behind the barn. Cocktail hour moves to the patio, and the reception takes place inside. If rain changes the plan, the ceremony can move into the barn.

When the room changes over
The uplighting is
the magician here.
The barn starts as a bright, clean backdrop. Once the sun goes down, uplighting adds color across the walls and dance-floor lighting gives the room movement. This is where the space becomes the couple's party.
The room after dark
A clean room becomes
a real dance floor.
The dance floor is usually in the center of the room. That is a good spot for the party, even though the assigned DJ corner puts me farther away than I would choose. I know the room and make the setup work.
Ivory Meadows does not allow them inside. They have allowed outdoor cold-spark send-offs, but couples should confirm the current rules and placement with the venue before making plans.
My setup in this room
The booth is in the corner.
The party is in the middle.
I am always assigned the same corner. It is farther from the center of the room than I prefer, but speaker placement and a thoughtful floor plan keep the room working.
My suggestion is to place the head table on the back wall, opposite the front doors. I have seen it placed along the patio doors, but the back wall gives the room a more natural focal point and keeps the patio connection open.
Cocktail hour lives out here

I love that cocktail hour happens on the patio. The bar also stays outside for the night, so people will keep moving between the patio and the barn after dancing begins.
I run a separate speaker outside and connect it to my main system. Guests on the patio still hear announcements, special dances and the music inside. They can step away without feeling like they left the wedding.

Ivory Meadows works well for a larger wedding that wants a clean, modern barn and a strong indoor-outdoor flow. The staff is great, load-in is easy, and Dayton Mobile DJ is on the venue's preferred list. The biggest opportunity is using the room intentionally: a strong head-table location, coverage on the patio and lighting that earns its place.
