A packed dance floor is great. So is a place to relax without feeling like you left the wedding. Stone Valley Meadows has room for both, and that is a big part of why I love working here.
My take after about six or seven weddings here
I love this venue.
The layout gets it right.
The room is big, the windows behind the head table are beautiful, and the lounge sits right beside the main reception space. People can take a break from the loudness and still see what is happening on the dance floor. You do not have to make every guest a dancer to give them a great night.

The room decision I would make first
Put the dance floor
by the head table.
There is an option to put it near the staircase, but my preference is right in front of the head table. That is the layout I would choose for a wedding here.
I usually set up to the left of the head table. I have also worked from the opposite side near the stairs, but I prefer being near the head table and the center of the party.
Think entrance, then first dance.
The wedding party usually enters from the staircase. Talk through that route with your floor plan so the entrance flows naturally into your first dance.
For the guests doing their own thing
A lounge is not
a second-class seat.
Some guests want to dance all night. Others want to catch up, sit comfortably or step away from the volume for a while. The lounge gives them a place to do that without losing sight of the party.
A photo booth is a great addition here. It gives guests spending time in the lounge something fun to do, even if the dance floor is not their thing.

A ceremony spot

Most weddings I have worked here start in the wooded ceremony area behind the barn. It is a really nice setting, and it is easy to get to. I have also done ceremonies inside the barn.
I bring my own battery-powered ceremony system. The venue has an outdoor audio option, but I know my setup and use it to handle the ceremony sound. Afterward, cocktail hour and the reception move into the barn.

A different room at night
My dance-floor lighting works really well here once it gets dark. The warm barn setting can turn into a completely different atmosphere when it is time to party.
I have seen other DJs use Dancing on a Cloud here, and it looks great in this room. I have not used it here myself yet. If that is part of your vision, we can discuss it and confirm the current venue requirements.
Big, without guessing
From my experience, around 250 guests feels comfortable here. That is my impression as a DJ, not an official capacity or a promise for every layout. Confirm your guest count and floor plan directly with the venue.
